The RFD would like to thank the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy for running the Aircraft Crash/Flammable Liquids class course. We would like to thank the administration for their hard work in getting the approvals and budget for this class. We would like to thank all of the instructors for their time dedication to teaching others the life saving skills needed. They too gave up a weekend in pursuit of bettering others to make it safer for us and you all. We encourage you all to looking at their website and begin to take classes. These are dedicated people with a wide range of knowledge when put together leads to great learning.

The RFD had an extremely busy weekend. We kicked it off with a meal prep Friday evening, then the classroom portion of an all weekend training. Friday evening we went to the PA State Fire Academy for the Aircraft crash/ Flammable Liquids class. Saturday we were back at the academy for day 2 of training, then to the station for stag night, we ran 2 different vehicle accidents Saturday night. Sunday morning back to the fire academy for day 3 of the class. While 13 of our members were at the academy, the RFD responded to a fire in Armagh Township. So it’s fair to say that your firefighters and members of the RFD are proudly serving the citizens by responding to calls, training, and fundraising. We have the best family at the RFD and it takes each and every member and their families to make us what we are. Thank you all so very much for the endless hours dedicated to our fire department.
