This October, nursing students from Northwestern College came to the Crittenton Center to complete health screenings for our preschool children.

It was two wonderful days of collaboration, learning, and caring for our little ones. We are so grateful to the Northwestern College nursing students for sharing their time and expertise with our children and staff.

What a great partnership and a wonderful experience for everyone involved!

Cherokee Head Start and Early Head Start had a busy first week of October!

Families came together for our Pumpkin Patch Parent Meeting, filled with fun and opportunities to connect.

We were also excited to welcome the Cherokee Fire Department, who taught our children and families important fire safety tips!

Thank you to all of our families and community partners for helping make this a wonderful start to October!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying can harm health and learning, and everyone has a role to play in prevention. Schools can help by establishing clear policies, communicating with staff and families, and using prevention resources across grade levels. Families can talk with children about how to respond, encourage reporting, and partner with the school early.
