Nevada Department of Wildlife has stocked Herman's Pond with Rainbow Trout for the first time this season! ๐ŸŽฃ

โš ๏ธBe sure to have a current fishing license, follow all of NDOW's rules and regulations for fishing, and Washoe County code Chapter 95.240 - No fish may be taken from the park outside of state fishing laws and regulations. NDOW Game Wardens and Washoe County Park Rangers will enforce these rules and regulations!โš ๏ธ

Seeing as the chicks (or goslings in this case) have arrived - we think it's safe to say spring has sprung!๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒž

โ€ผ๏ธPlease remember to give these parents and babies plenty of space! Just like any good parent, they will protect their little ones!โš ๏ธ

Canada geese are known for raising their goslings in "gang broods," in other words, several pairs of geese combine together into a single flock with their goslings for safety and shared responsibility. This pair was watching over FIFTEEN little goslings earlier this week!๐Ÿชฟ
