Nevada Department of Wildlife has stocked Herman's Pond with Rainbow Trout for the first time this season! 🎣

⚠️Be sure to have a current fishing license, follow all of NDOW's rules and regulations for fishing, and Washoe County code Chapter 95.240 - No fish may be taken from the park outside of state fishing laws and regulations. NDOW Game Wardens and Washoe County Park Rangers will enforce these rules and regulations!⚠️

Join us THIS SUNDAY from 10am-1pm in the Nevada Farms and Families area for FARM DAY! This is a free public event for the whole family!!🐓🐄🦋

Seeing as the chicks (or goslings in this case) have arrived - we think it's safe to say spring has sprung!🌷🌞

‼️Please remember to give these parents and babies plenty of space! Just like any good parent, they will protect their little ones!⚠️

Canada geese are known for raising their goslings in "gang broods," in other words, several pairs of geese combine together into a single flock with their goslings for safety and shared responsibility. This pair was watching over FIFTEEN little goslings earlier this week!🪿

Please remember, you need to know before you go! Many types of e-bikes are allowed in parks and on trails but no e-motos are allowed.

Keep everyone safe out there, and please don't forget your brain bucket!!!🪖🚴‍♂️

The Highland Ditch is scheduled to start flowing this coming Monday April 20th. Be prepared for a wet pasture with your furry friends!🐾
