Boys Junior America's Cup update from Red Hawk Golf and Resort:

Nevada's Drake Harvey made 8 birdies, 4 on the front (including 3 in a row!) and 4 on the back to card a 6 under 65 on the par 71 lakes course today, leading the Nevada team to a round 2 score of -4 under for the day and -8 under for the tournament.

The Nevada team of Drake Harvey, Mason Snyder, Rishi Gupta, and Angelo Bidart is tied for 4th place with Northern California after two rounds. Southern California is in the lead at -16, followed by Mexico Red (with a red-hot team score today of -13!), and San Diego.

Drake and Mason are tied for 5th in the individual standings at 6 under, 3 strokes behind Mexico Red's Gerardo Gomez who is 9 under after two rounds.

The third and final round is tomorrow, Thursday. The tournament is being hosted by Northern Nevada Junior Golf Association, Red Hawk Golf and Resort, and Pam Whalen, founder of both Northern Nevada Junior Golf and Northern Nevada Golf Association. Pam and her late husband John founded NNGA 51 years ago, in 1972!
