Storey County is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support recruitment, onboarding, benefits, compensation, training, personnel administration, and other HR functions within the organization. This position also assists employees, departments, and the public with HR-related questions and processes.
Candidates with experience in human resources, personnel administration, recruiting, payroll, or office administration are encouraged to apply. A combination of education and experience may qualify. Military experience applicable to the duties of the position may also be preferred.

Storey County Fire Protection District is hiring Firefighter-AEMTs to support fire suppression, emergency medical response, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, and fire prevention activities.
Candidates must possess current AEMT certification and CPR certification. Firefighter I certification may be obtained within the first year of employment. Prior fire service, EMS, military, or emergency response experience is encouraged to apply.
Desired qualifications include Firefighter II, HazMat, EMS Instructor, Fire Instructor certifications, and Fire Science education.
Candidates successfully hired through the Firefighter Lateral process may be eligible to receive credit for time served. Pay may be provided at 5% above or below the candidate’s current base wages with their previous employer, without exceeding SCFPD Step 5. Lateral candidates will also receive a preloaded leave balance of annual and sick leave.
