On March 31st, residents of Evergreen Trailer Park in south Reno received a sudden 30-day eviction notice. The property was purchased by a new owner in September 2025 and residents were assured at the time that nothing would change. Dozens of residents (many of whom are seniors, have a disability, or are on fixed income) have been forced to scramble to find new housing on a tight timeline with limited resources.
The Reno Sparks Tenants Union met and spoke with many of the residents and are calling on the community to support Evergreen tenants! This campaign will raise up to $500 per interested unit we spoke to for the residents to spend or recover application fees and other costs associated with moving. (If we are unable to meet the full goal by the end of May, the funds will be evenly divided.)

(2) We need volunteers to help residents move their belongings. Many are still in the process of looking for a new place or arranging for storage, so we may have only a short notice for some people who need help. If you're interested in volunteering (packing, lifting/moving boxes, or transporting items in your truck/car), please contact us!

Help two tenants short on their rent! These folks had to make urgent car repairs (and it turned out cheaper to actually replace the car). Now they're short $800 in rent. Any help is so appreciated!

(Reposting with the goal amount of $469) Please help RSTU support a single mother trying to get caught up on rent! Her family is dealing with a landlord who has refused for years to properly address concerns with mold and roaches in the apartment.
Being current on rent will allow us to help her fight these conditions and work towards a better living situation for her and her children.
Cashapp $Vass46 — funds go directly to her. Please share this post if you're able!

City council's solution to homelessness is to give the cops more money. Meanwhile there's 10 empty houses/apartments for every homeless person here in Washoe County.

Let's be clear - the way to get people off the street is to give them housing. The more institutional barriers put in the way, the larger the cracks for people to fall through. Work requirements, medical requirements, any kind of requirement - that is what the cracks look like.
