SEMICON West brought the global semiconductor industry to San Francisco this week. Danielle Randol, Director of Business Development, attended alongside Alex Bacchus, Northern Regional Director at the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).

The show gathers the equipment, materials, and component makers behind every chip, a supply chain Northern Nevada is well positioned to support. Danielle spent the week meeting with companies from across that network, sharing what the region offers and learning what matters to them as they grow. 💡

Doug Erwin has been named Chief Innovation Officer at Northern NV Now, a newly created executive position focused on modernizing how we work.

Doug has spent nearly 15 years on our team, most recently as Senior Vice President of Entrepreneurial Development, and has already brought AI into our daily operations. His new role builds on that, using data and technology to support investors, entrepreneurs, partners, and the companies we serve in new and more useful ways.

Early Voting in Nevada starts this Saturday, and our partners at Washoe County have a simple ask: Don’t Wait, Washoe!

From October 17 through 30, all early Vote Centers are open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and offer two ways to get it done. Vote in person at a location near home or work, or bring a completed mail ballot and leave it in the drop box on site. Either way, there is no postmark to worry about, no mail delay, and no wondering whether it made it.

The last day of Early Voting is Friday, October 30, and every ballot in by then gives election staff a head start on processing, so results arrive faster for the businesses and communities we serve.

Northern Nevada was well represented last week at Area Development’s Women in Economic Development Forum in Chicago. Veronica Chavez, AVP of Business Retention & Expansion, Amanda Berry Jones, AVP of Business Attraction and Danielle Randol, Director of Business Development made the trip alongside members of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) team.

Three days of sessions and roundtables brought together women in our field from across the country and the site consultants who influence where companies locate and expand. Learning alongside peers nationwide helps our team keep building opportunity for the businesses and communities that make up Northern Nevada. 💙
