🚒☀️ School’s out for summer! Sparks firefighters helped Greenbrae Elementary celebrate the last day of school with Field Day fun, and lots of smiles. Have a safe and amazing summer, everyone!

Recently, 6 members of the Reno Fire Department completed an intense 40-hour Battalion Chief Academy —building knowledge, skills, and abilities for incident management, organizational leadership, and employee mentoring. Great work by all!

Reno Firefighters with auto aid from TMF made an aggressive attack to stop a fast moving wind driven brush fire that was immediately threatening a manufactured home community off North Virginia. No injuries and no damage to any structures.

Recently, Reno Firefighters participated in a large scale tabletop hazmat exercise at the Regional Emergency Operations Center playing key roles in a unified Incident Command, Planning Section, and Hazardous Materials Branch operations.

Reno Fire Department’s USAR team just completed their annual Rapid Extraction Module training in preparation for the upcoming wildland fire season.
The Rapid Extraction Module “REM” provides advanced life support and technical rescue capabilities for fire resources that are deployed on incidents nationwide.
