Big thank you to our incredible partners at ZLINE Kitchen and Bath for volunteering in our CC Market yesterday!

We’re so grateful for your team’s support in creating heartfelt messages and encouragement cards for young students starting school this fall. Your work serves as a meaningful way for children to feel seen, supported, and excited for the year ahead.

It’s truly inspiring to see partners like ZLINE step beyond the workplace and invest in our community in ways that make a lasting impact. We appreciate your continued commitment to making a difference!

Zoey, a mother of four, struggled to make ends meet while working two jobs and caring for her sick mother and younger sister. With no reliable transportation and limited time, she couldn’t fully support her children’s education or attend parent-teacher conferences.

The Children’s Cabinet stepped in, providing weekly food deliveries, holiday meals and gifts, subsidized childcare, and case management, along with referrals for SNAP and local food pantries. With this support, Zoey reduced her workload to one full-time job and gained time to focus on her children.

Today, Zoey is thriving, and her family is on a path toward a brighter future.

Through The Children’s Cabinet’s wraparound case management, families receive personalized support by working with a case manager to identify needs, set family-centered goals, and access resources like food, education, healthcare, and financial guidance, helping build stability, independence, and stronger family relationships.

Taking care of others starts with taking care of ourselves 💙
Our Family Counseling and Behavioral Health teams shared why self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s essential for the mental health professionals who show up every day for children and families in our community. From setting boundaries to finding moments of rest and reflection, caring for ourselves helps us better care for others.
Let’s continue to support the helpers, too. 🌱

This week, The Children’s Cabinet staff proudly wore green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month and the Be Seen in Green campaign, because mental health awareness and access to resources support stronger outcomes for the children and families in our communities.

Be Seen in Green is a nationwide initiative that encourages people to wear green as a visible reminder to break the stigma around mental health and spark meaningful conversations. Green represents renewal, hope, and wellness, powerful symbols of the support and healing we want everyone to feel.

Now it’s your turn! 📸
Show us how you’re supporting mental health; snap a photo in green, tag us, and use so we can share the love 💚

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on the importance of emotional well-being, break down stigma, and ensure no child or family feels alone in their struggles.

For many children, access to mental health care can mean the difference between simply getting by and truly thriving. Early support builds resilience, strengthens families, and creates a foundation for lifelong wellness.

At Art of Childhood, our Fund A Need opens the door to healing by providing free family counseling services for children and families when support matters most.

Together, we can create a future where every child feels seen, supported, and safe.

Take action today. Help us bring life-changing mental health support to children who need it most. Visit artofchildhood.org and make your impact.
