In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re proud to share a powerful reflection from Lacey Smith Szekely, an Army Veteran and Secretary of our Board of Directors.

In her article, Lacey reflects on her time flying Medevac missions in Afghanistan, the lifelong bonds formed in service, and the difficult transition many Women Veterans face after the uniform comes off.

We’re honored to share that Nation's Finest has been selected as an official Blue Star Families Outpost in Nevada’s Second Congressional District.

As a Blue Star Families Outpost, we’ll help create more opportunities for military members, Veterans, and their families across Northern Nevada to connect, gather, and build stronger community ties.

In addition, this summer, in partnership with Blue Star Families and the Nevada Department of Veterans Services, Nation’s Finest will launch a newly retrofitted mobile services unit to expand its reach across remote and rural parts of Nevada where many Veterans live but have limited access to support.

As temperatures continue to drop, more and more Veterans are in need of support.

That’s why our Mobile Service Units are on the move bringing essential services directly to Veterans living in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

Many of the Veterans we serve are elderly, disabled, or isolated—often without reliable transportation, safe shelter, or consistent care. For them, these visits aren’t just helpful. They’re lifesaving.
