Luis just stepped off the bench after 24 hours — and we are not the same.
We heard from neighbors experiencing homelessness who shared what they wish our city understood. From program graduates who rebuilt their lives from nothing. From pastors, city leaders, volunteers, and strangers who just happened to sit down.
Every single conversation reminded us why we do this work.

Thank you for watching. For praying. For sharing. For showing up.

After 23 hours on the bench, Luis is exhausted. Yet he has rarely felt more alive.
That's what happens when a stranger sits down next to you and tells you the truth about their life. When someone who slept outside last night looks you in the eye and says something so raw, so human, that you forget your own exhaustion. When someone with the power to change things in our city makes a promise out loud that they can't take back.
This bench has a way of doing that to people.
