We help veterans send their military transcript to the college they are applying to - just one of the many things we walk you through step by step!

Before you sign up for classes, ask whether your military training could count toward college credit.

Your military transcript documents training and experience that a school can review. Credit isn’t automatic. Each school decides what it accepts.

Ask your advisor:
“Which credits from my military transcript could apply to the degree I want?”

It’s a useful conversation to have before building your class schedule.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

FAFSA isn't just about student loans.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can help determine your eligibility for several types of financial aid, including grants, work-study and federal student loans.

One of those opportunities is the Federal Pell Grant. Pell Grants are typically awarded to undergraduate students with financial need and, unlike student loans, usually do not need to be repaid.

Not sure if you qualify? Don't count yourself out before applying.

FASTober is this Saturday! Stop by and get help navigating the FAFSA process from TMCC's Financial Aid, Scholarships and Student Employment team.

Today, we proudly celebrate the U.S. Navy’s 251 years of service — a legacy of courage, commitment, and honor that continues to shape our nation.

At Veterans Upward Bound, we are honored to serve Navy veterans who carry that tradition forward in classrooms, careers, and communities across Northern Nevada. Your resilience, leadership, and dedication inspire everything we do.

To all our Sailors — past and present — thank you for charting the course, standing the watch, and strengthening our country. Fair winds and following seas.

Veterans Upward Bound had an inspiring weekend celebrating collaboration and community across Northern Nevada. On Friday, we joined the M25 Initiative for a gathering that brought together leaders in reentry, housing, recovery, education, veterans’ services, and community outreach — a powerful reminder of how much more we can accomplish when we connect our work instead of doing it alone.

On Saturday, we had the honor of attending the David J. Drakulich Art Foundation: For Freedom of Expression Awards Gala, where VUB was recognized as an Outstanding Community Partner. The DJD Foundation’s commitment to healing, creativity, and veteran support is extraordinary, and we are deeply grateful for this acknowledgment.

Partnerships like M25 and DJD strengthen the safety net for those starting over — whether they need education, housing, employment, treatment, or community. When we show up together, we make those transitions easier, warmer, and more human.

We’re proud to stand alongside such dedicated organizations and look forward to building even stronger connections in service of our Northern Nevada community.
