Earlier this week our Worshipful Master Chad, our Secretary Ron, and our Treasurer Tony, made the drive out to Rocklin, CA to present Brother Ken Blodger his pin for 70 years a member of the Lodge. At 97 years, he is doing great! We had a wonderful time visiting and hearing his stories. Brotherly love is strong!

From the Gold Hill News, Dec. 15, 1865: “Last evening in the Amity Lodge No. 4, F. & A.M., Silver City, the officers for the ensuing year were installed...After the ceremonies were concluded, and some most excellent Masonic labor performed, the Lodge adjourned to the dining hall of the Sierra Nevada Hotel, where about 80 brethren sat down to a most sumptuous dinner, prepared in the landlord’s best style, and which was equal, if it did not surpass, any banquet we have ever sat down to in the Sate of Nevada. Every luxury the markets afford was upon the tables in full abundance, and greatly relished by the company...A number of songs were sung – individually and collectively – including those soul-stirring and life-remembered melodies of “Auld Lang Syne” and “Home, Sweet Home.”...The invited guests of Amity Lodge very highly appreciated the courtiesies and kindnesses extended to them by its members; and the pleasant recollections of last night’s love-feast will ever enkindle a fraternal love for them, and strengthen the ties which now bind them together as a Brotherhood.” PHOTO BY SILVER CITY VISITING ARTIST KERRY ROSSOW of Illinois, 2020.
