We’re proud to announce that Catholic Charities USA has chosen us as an official Emergency Hub!

With our warehouse space and fleet, we’re now better equipped to respond to natural disasters across Northern Nevada and Northern California. We’ve already received 52 pallets—a massive wall of emergency supplies including hygiene kits, blankets, baby items, and more. We are ready to help when our neighbors need it most!

Last week was a time for celebration in the St. Vincent’s Dining Room! We were so happy to celebrate the birthdays of Carl, Mike, and John.

A huge, heartfelt shoutout to our incredible volunteer, Lynne. She never misses a birthday and always goes the extra mile by cooking delicious, homemade treats to celebrate birthdays. This time, she spoiled us with stuffed tomatoes, brownies, and chocolate toffee with nuts!

Thank you, Lynne, for bringing so much joy and kindness to our community. Happy birthday again to our special birthday guys!

With costs rising at the pump and the grocery store, providing free laundry service is a huge relief for our neighbors. We were honored to serve 40 families where we provided two loads of wash and dry per household. It was an incredible afternoon supporting our neighbors and making a small difference in everyday essentials.

We had an amazing cohort of interns from the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno this semester!

These students gained hands-on experience across almost all of our programs and were integral to our success this spring—especially with Operation Easter Basket and our new St. Vincent's Food Pantry.

Food Pantry Director Carlos Carillos praised the team’s efficiency and heart:
"This group of interns learned so quickly that they were able to expedite our pantry check-in process. Their innovation and eagerness to help led them to create much-needed reports and documents. Above all, they showed genuine compassion and empathy for everyone they served."

Congratulations on your graduation! We'll miss you all, wish you the absolute best in your next chapter, and know you will achieve great things. Thank you for serving our community!

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we reflect on their sacrifice, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, community, and caring for one another. At Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, we are grateful for all who serve others with kindness and generosity every day.

We wanted to highlight some of the adorable pets that showed up this past Saturday to the Duffield Pet Wellness Clinic! Over 120 pets received vaccinations, veterinary examinations, and food and supplies. We are honored to work alongside Feeding Pets of the Homeless, Nevada Humane Society, and Galena Veterinary Hospital to make this event possible.

As we prepare to commemorate Memorial Day, we wanted to remind everyone of our holiday hours. Please plan accordingly.

The St. Vincent's Dining Room, thrift stores, and donation centers will be open for Memorial Day. All other programs will be closed.
