IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT FERRY COUNTY ELECTIONS

Today is election day. Due to the Modrite fire.

Here are the takeaways:

1) The Inchelium Post Office is closed, but the ballot box is still available at the clinic. Please use caution and pay attention to all evacuation levels in Inchelium if utilizing the clinic ballot box. Remember: any ballot dropped at the ballot box at the clinic must be dropped off by 8:00 PM to be counted.

2) If you have evacuated, do not have your ballot, and wish to vote, you can visit any county Auditor’s office (i.e. Ferry County Auditor, Spokane County Auditor, Stevens County Auditor, or Okanogan County Auditor) and request a replacement ballot. They will be able to provide you a replacement ballot that you can then either drop off at a ballot box or place in the mail.

3) If you have evacuated and have your ballot, you can place the completed ballot in any ballot box in the state, and it will reach Ferry County.

Any questions may be directed to the Ferry County Auditor’s Office at 509-775-5225 ext. 1139 (direct election line)
Thank you!
