Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company is collecting toy donations in preparation for the annual Saratoga County Convoy for Tots!

You can support the effort by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at any of our upcoming collection dates, or at one of our drop-box locations throughout the community.

COLLECTION DATES & TIMES
Location: Rexford Landing (in front of The Flats at 675 Grooms Rd)
• Saturday, October 24: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday, November 1: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Saturday, November 14: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

DROP-BOX LOCATIONS
If you can't make a drive-thru collection time, look for our donation boxes at:
•Any Vischer Ferry Fire Station
• Vischer Ferry General Store
• Bowman Orchards
• The Flats

DONATION REQUIREMENTS
• Toys must be NEW
• Toys must be UNWRAPPED

The members of the Vischer Ferry Fire Company mourn the loss of Life Member Ralph Smaldone.

Ralph joined the Fire Company on April 3,1974, as an active firefighter. In recognition of his dedication and service, he was honored with the Chief's Award in 1987. On January 6, 1993, Ralph was elevated to the prestigious rank of Life Member, recognizing his years of commitment and service to the Fire Company.

During his years as an active firefighter, Ralph served with dedication and pride as a member of our fire police squad.

Through his years of faithful service, Ralph helped build the foundation of the Fire Company. His dedication and contributions will forever remain with us.

To our departed brother...may you rest in peace...your work is complete...a job well done...it's time to rest...The bell has tolled three times calling Ralph home to rest in the arms of the Almighty Chief. Rest in peace brother.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 Vischer Ferry Lobsterama! 🦞

We want to thank everyone who placed an order, came out to support us, and helped make our Second Annual Lobsterama a success.

From the lobsters to the salt potatoes, none of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers, generous sponsors, and the community that continues to show up for us.

Every lobster sold helps support the Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company and the work we do for our community. We’re already looking forward to next year!

What a day!

We had beautiful weather at our second annual Lobsterama!

We would like to thank everyone who purchased a lobster and supported our fire company. Your purchase goes towards the advancement of valuable training and readiness of our responders. A strong fire company keeps our community safe.

We would like to congratulate Nancy Steuhl on winning the $100 gift card to The Flats Clifton Park, and thank her for her order. She purchased a total of 35 lobsters! Woah!

Today is the day!

Lobsters have arrived from Maine and are in the steaming pot!

We are happy to report that we are sold out of lobster!

Here are all the details that you need to know:

- What: VISCHER FERRY LOBSTERAMA!
- Where: Pickup is at 750 Grooms Road, Rexford, NY 12148
- When: Live: 1-2pm, Steamed: 2-5pm
- How: We recommend that you bring coolers for your order
- Why?: Your purchase benefits our fire company and you get fresh lobster from Maine. It's a win-win!

When you arrive, you will check in to verify your order, you'll then pull up to the pickup point where we load your order.

Then you can take it home, reheat and enjoy!

SHOW US YOUR LOBSTER DINNER!

We want to see how you enjoyed your Lobsterama haul! Whether you had a big family dinner or treated yourself to a lobster feast, snap a picture and share it with us!

Here's how to enter:

1) Take a picture of your Lobsterama dinner.

2) Post it on Facebook with .

3) That's it! Your name will be entered into a raffle to win a $75 gift card to Ravenswood Pub!

Deadline: Saturday, October 10th! We'll draw the winner that day, so make sure your photo is posted and hashtagged by then.

One important rule: Keep it real! Photos must be your own, actual lobster dinner photos. No AI-generated images, please. We want to see the real thing!

Lobsterama is almost here!

If you ordered a lobster (or some delicious lobster meat) for Saturday’s Lobsterama, thank you for your support of the Vischer Ferry Volunteer Fire Company! We’re looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday.

Live Lobsters: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Steamed Lobsters & Ready-To-Go Lobster Meat: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
