Basically, what we're saying is...you need to check out the Lakeside Center patio! π
While you're here, grab something to eat from Lakeside Market, on the first floor of Lakeside Center (it's lowkey so fire)!

Today, we honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. β€οΈ
To the family members and friends continuing to live through grief, we see you. π
We get to live out our mission because of the freedoms our country's service members fought for. π€
Thank you.

π Kaitlyn graduated from Nicolet College this spring before even graduating from high school! π
Through a partnership between Nicolet College and Three Lakes High School, Kaitlyn earned her Technical Diploma in Welding while still in high school.
This partnership gives Three Lakes students access to college-level welding instruction from Nicolet College instructors, while also benefiting from the support and guidance of their Three Lakes High School teacher. Together, the program provides students with hands-on experience and industry-ready skills close to home.
π©βπ Kaitlyn participated in welding classes throughout all four years of high school and now has a Technical Diploma to go along with the high school diploma sheβll receive this weekend. π₯³
Thank you to Three Lakes High School for being a valued partner in education and helping create opportunities for student success!

Earlier this spring, the School of Public Safety and Transportation received an exciting and important upgrade.
Thanks to an Assistance to Firefighters Grant through the Wisconsin Technical College System, the Firefighting courses were able to purchase a car prop. ππ₯
This replaces the need for using acquired vehicles for car fire training. Acquired cars emit toxic fumes and have inherent dangers such as gas tanks, shocks, and airbags. This new car prop also creates reproducible scenarios for consistency in training.
We're excited for this upgrade to help provide safer, realistic training opportunities for current and future firefighters. π

Recently, our very own Culinary Instructor Vicki Mendham was chosen to serve as a judge at the National ProStart Invitational in Baltimore, Maryland!
ProStart is a culinary organization for high schoolers. Each of the 48 teams that Chef Vicki judged earned their spot at the national competition by taking first place at their state competition. π₯
Chef Vicki said, "It was an amazing experience to see the best of the best competing. They had one hour to complete an appetizer, main course, and a dessert with two burners and no running water." π²
"Being chosen as a national judge for ProStart was quite an honor, and the experience was inspiring. I am grateful to be able to give back, and it was incredible to work with other judges from all over the country."
