The Texas Legislature has failed to address the cost-of-living crisis, cuts to school funding, and widespread government corruption.
Republicans don’t seem interested in hearing from Texans about the real issues.
So we're doing it ourselves.

As Muslims across Dallas celebrate the beginning of the Islamic New Year, I wish all a Muharram of peace and joy. ☪️ We must continue to work towards creating a Texas that uplifts all of our residents, without discriminating based on religion.

Our community is mourning the loss of three of our neighbors, family members, and friends. I join our friends in the Oak Cliff community in remembering and celebrating the lives of the lost, including Sylvia Collins, a longtime Dallas County Democratic Precinct Chair and a powerful advocate for her community.
I’ll be attending the candlelight vigil being held on Wednesday evening in Oak Cliff to honor those who we lost in the 9th Street Fire, as well as uplift the families of the victims and all those who have lost so much. I hope you will join us tomorrow at 7:30.
