UTeach Nation Welcome Week concludes as we highlight 3️⃣ special alumni.

1️⃣Ariel DeZeeuw (BS’18, MS’20, UTeach ’22) UTeach Dallas Alumni of the Year 2026, and part of the UTeach Dallas Alumni Leadership Team:
What is one UTeach moment that has stayed with you?
It’s hard to pick just one because so much of what I learned from Dr. McConnell in Classroom Interactions has influenced the kind of teacher that I am and aspire to be.

2️⃣ Haley Bilbray (BS’14, MS’20, UTeach ’14) UTeach Dallas Alumni of the Year 2025, and part of the UTeach Dallas Alumni Leadership Team:
What impact do you hope to make in STEM education?
I hope to foster STEM learning environments grounded in curiosity, empathy, and purposeful reflection. I want every learner to feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their potential and pursue their goals. Ultimately, I hope students come to see themselves not simply as learners of STEM, but as people who belong in STEM and have something meaningful to contribute to it.

3️⃣ David Le (BS’20, UTeach ’20) and our final member of the UTeach Dallas Alumni Leadership Team:
What impact do you hope to make in STEM education?
The only impact I wish to make is to teach future students how the world works and how beautiful it truly is.
