Congratulations to Ariel DeZeeuw (BS’18, MS’20, UTeach Dallas ‘22) for the Alumni of the Year Award! Ariel is a HS Math teacher at Life School Oak Cliff campus and is part of our UTeach Dallas Alumni Leadership Team.

Last week we celebrated the end of another successful semester with our scholarship scholars! Congratulations to our scholars that our graduating!

Our UTeach Dallas program at UTDallas has 🌟 OVER 100 🌟 incoming first-year and transfer students enrolled this fall to take the introductory course in our teacher preparation program!
This is an incredible number of potential future 🧪STEM teachers, which means WE NEED MENTOR CLASSROOM TEACHERS for these students!
If you or someone you know…
🧬 is awesome and teach(es) 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th (if in elementary) grade SCIENCE and/or MATH
🏫 work(s) in a public or public charter school within 20-ish minutes/miles of UTD and
👩‍🏫 want(s) to help influence and recruit the next generation of awesome STEM teachers

WE WANT YOU!

This is a minimal time commitment role- less than 10 total hours for the entire semester, AND it comes with a small stipend!
It’s also a lot of FUN!

It's UTeach Dallas Mentor Monday! Today we shine the spotlight on mentor Esmeralda Jimenez, Step 1 mentor at Hillside Academy in Garland ISD. Our Step 1 mentors introduce UTeach Dallas students to their 1st STEM classroom field experiences. Thank you for helping prepare the next gen STEM teachers! 💫
We need more Step 1 Mentors for next year, if you are a 4th through 6th grade STEM teacher in the area, contact us.
