Keeping Our Parks Bike Safe & Scooter-Smart🚲🛴 Our parks are shared spaces for everyone to enjoy! To help keep them safe, please remember:
❌ Motorized vehicles such as golf carts, dirt bikes, e-motorcycles, mini motorbikes, and pocket bikes are prohibited in city parks, including sidewalks and trails.
❌ Pocket bikes and mini motorbikes are not allowed on public streets, sidewalks, or parks.

Motor-Assisted Scooter Reminders:
🛴 Riders must be 12+ to ride on public streets
🪖 Helmets are required
✅ Motor-assisted scooters are allowed only on roads 35 mph or less, sidewalks, bike paths, and must obey all traffic laws that apply to bicyclists.

If you witness illegal vehicle activity, property damage, or unsafe behavior in a park, please call 911 immediately so officers can respond while the incident is occurring. The following are prohibited in city parks:
• Damaging, vandalizing, or defacing park property
• Reckless or dangerous behavior
• Disrupting park visitors or events

It's National Senior Health and Fitness Day, and the Richardson Senior Center has a strong lineup of fitness classes starting in June! Improve your upper body strength, balance, flexibility and core all at your own pace with guided coaching. Modifications are offered for each fitness level. 💪

Recreation Center Memberships are available at a discounted rate for ages 55+! With a Recreation Membership, you get access to Heights Rec Center, Huffhines Rec Center, and the Richardson Senior Center facilities - each featuring a fully equipped fitness area. The 2 recreation centers also include a dry sauna, table tennis, full-sized gymnasium, free basketball rentals, designated open gym hours, and pickleball open play times. 🏀
• $45/year - annual individual membership ages 55+ (Richardson residents)
• $90/year - annual individual membership ages 55+ (Non-residents)

The Senior Center frequently hosts free programs for members and offers a lower rate for Senior Center Only Memberships which excludes the recreation centers.
• $25/residents or $50/non-resident - Ages 50-54
• $15/residents or $30/non-resident - Ages 55-79
• $5/resident or $10/non-resident - Ages 80+
