🚧 MILL STREET CLOSURE – STARTING MONDAY, OCTOBER 19 🚧

Heads up, Richland Center! Work on the Mill Street Drainage Improvement Project near the Main Street intersection begins Monday, October 19.

Here’s what to expect:
• 🚫 Mill Street will be closed for approximately one week while crews complete the first phase of work.
• 🚗 The street will then reopen with a temporary gravel surface for approximately two weeks.
• 🚧 Mill Street will close again briefly so crews can complete the final surface work and finish the project.

Please use an alternate route during closures and use caution around the work area. Thanks for your patience while we make these improvements! 👷‍♂️

FALL LEAF COLLECTION - will begin October 12 and will continue through November 13, weather permitting. Leaves will be vacuumed daily by section. Sections will be serviced multiple times during the time but not necessarily on the same day of the week. Please be mindful to park away from the leaf piles to ensure the sweeper has access to the pile.
🍁Community Reminder: Fall Leaf Pickup Guidelines🍁
🍂 Leaf Collection
✔️ Rake leaves ONLY into the street gutter and stretch them along the curb.
✔️ No sticks in leaf piles — they plug and damage the vacuum.
✔️ Do not park on or in front of leaf piles.
⚠️ Frozen leaves can clog equipment.
🗓️ Pickup Expectations
✔️ Leaf pickup rotates through different parts of the city.
✔️ Not every section will be serviced each day or each week.
✔️ If the truck has passed, it will return after completing other areas.
Thank you for helping keep Richland Center clean, safe, and beautiful! 🍂💛

Yes, YARD WASTE PICKUP has ended for 2026. But that means we move right into Fall Leaf Collection! Residents are reminded that only leaves will be collected and may be raked into the gutter. Leaves will not be picked up if left in bags or containers at the curb; mixed with sticks, rocks, grass clipping, etc. Please be mindful to park away from the leaf piles to ensure the sweeper has access to the pile.
