An amazing session was held at the CD/NLA show at the Ga***rd Convention Center in National Harbour....Our opening speaker Rick Versace the NLA Treasurer and President of the Florida Limousine Association, informed the attendees on the NLA's efforts to soften the ever more expensive Insurance rates through Tort reform. As well as practices we can implement to possibly lower our personal rates...Our second speaker was Adam Weisman, VP of Livery for Philadelphia Insurance. Adam not only addressed pre arranged questions but took several questions from the crowd in regards to reasoning behind higher rates in regards to location and practices by each individual companies....It was simply a excellent session to attend to help improve your personal business and a industry as a whole....We look forward to future meetings w the VLA which these gentlemen can attend....

The Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel will undergo a series of full directional weekend closures throughout October for roadway repaving. Each directional closure will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and end at 5 a.m. Monday, leaving the opposite direction of I-64 open to traffic.

Strength in Numbers

The Virginia Limousine Association (VLA) held its Q3 Membership Meeting on August 25, where members collaborated to address ongoing obstacles faced when operating across state lines. Demonstrating unity and commitment to industry advocacy, VLA members participated in a second meeting on August 26 with Washington, DC Department for Hire officials.

Both meetings were productive and generated valuable dialogue, resulting in meaningful outcomes that support our members and strengthen cross‑jurisdictional operations. The VLA remains dedicated to advancing the interests of Virginia’s transportation professionals through collaboration, communication, and collective action.
