Our patriotic LOVE NN display stands as a symbol of community pride and a reminder of the values that unite us. As we prepare for the Fourth of July, we invite everyone to come together to celebrate our nation's birthday, reflect on our shared history, and enjoy all that makes Newport News such a special place to live, work, and play.

This summer, history comes to life across Virginia in new and unexpected ways.

'Crickets on a Hill,' an original musical by Judy Ward, brings storytelling, music, and community together on stage in Mathews County as part of the VA250 commemoration.

Presented by the Mathews VA250 Committee and The Court House Players, this production offers a creative and engaging way to reflect on the people and moments that shaped our nation.
