Last week in LA, I had the honor of experiencing the opening of the Monuments exhibition — and wow, what a powerful moment!
So inspired by the incredible work of Shakia Warren, and Devon Henry using storytelling to reshape how we see history and inspire change.
Proud to support the City Council of Richmond and to witness how far we’ve come and how much further we’re determined to go. The narrative of Monuments reminds us that progress takes courage, truth, and vision.
Grateful to stand with those rewriting Richmond’s story with purpose and pride.

The next entry in our “Voices from the Region” series continues with our conversation with Richmond City Councilwoman Nicole Jones, who represents the 9th District.
During our conversation, Councilwoman Jones emphasized how engagement is essential to promoting health and racial/ethnic equity:
“For me, engagement is everything because some of the greatest solutions come from the people most affected…this is the necessary work if we are truly serious about advancing equity.”

“Voices from the Region” is our ongoing series where we pose the same five questions about health and racial/ethnic equity to local leaders, advocates, community members, and others.
