The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors will hold a special event tomorrow, June 22 at noon on the steps of the historic 1917 Courthouse to announce and welcome the new county administrator.

The public is invited to attend the event, with parking available in and around the five-story county administration building.

A second splash pad in Chesterfield County opens this week! Be one of the first to splash and play at this facility at the grand opening of The Park at River City Sportsplex on Thursday, June 11.

From 4 to 7 p.m., have fun exploring the park's splash pad, playground, trail and fitness equipment. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.

In celebration of International Day of Play, the event will feature engaging activities including a bubble machine, scavenger hunt and demonstrations from Rockwood Nature Center's environmental educators.

Enjoy free Kona Ice. Food and drinks will be available to purchase from vendors.

Admission is free. The Park at River City Sportsplex is located at 13030 Genito Road.
