UPDATE: 9/17 (8:50AM) โ€” All systems have been restored and callers should no longer experience the call forwarding. Thank you to our team for their commitment to ensuring we provide great emergency communications for our citizens and first responders.

๐Ÿšจ 911 SERVICE UPDATE ๐Ÿšจ

Madison County is experiencing a temporary outage affecting our 911 lines but this will NOT impact our ability to answer your call or dispatch emergency services.

What should callers expect?
If you need emergency assistance, continue to call 911 as you normally would. Your call will be automatically forwarded to our team of telecommunicators. Because calls are being rerouted through our backup systems, you may notice a difference in the first ring or hear a slightly different sound before the call connects.

Please stay on the line and allow the call to connect. Once connected, our telecommunicators will answer your call and handle it as they normally would.

Most importantly, emergency response service remains unchanged. The outage does not change how calls are handled, how emergency information is processed, or how our first responders are dispatched.

Our citizens will continue to receive the same high level of emergency communications and response service they depend on.

This is exactly why we have technology, redundancy and backup systems in place. When an unexpected issue occurs, these systems help ensure our emergency communications remain operational and our telecommunicators can continue serving our community.

๐Ÿ“ž If you have an emergency, call 911 as you normally would.

The way your call connects may sound differentโ€”but the service you receive and the response you need remain unchanged.

We will continue getting the right responder, to the right location, every time.
