These students at Roosevelt Elementary in Lakewood, Ohio, are digging into the fun of learning about trees and pollinators with Project Plant It!

We had a wonderful outdoor event on May 3 at Virginia State University's Randolph Farm with youth from the Petersburg YMCA. The girls took a trolley ride, helped to plant a tree by the nature trail and sampled some delicious food items made possible by pollinators.

Cub Scout Pack 1115 in Salado, Texas, planted wildflower seeds at Salado Montessori School. Also, the scouts planted redbud tree seedlings in pots and donated them to teachers and neighbors. What a fun way to celebrate Arbor Day and National Wildflower Week with Project Plant It!

The first Arbor Day occurred 150 years ago in 1872. The founder, J.
