We met Arav Mathias to learn about his nonprofit Gifting Kindness today and were impressed with the passion and heart this young man has for helping others. As May ends, we reflect on a month of honoring service, protecting seniors, and supporting mental health. Thank you for standing with law enforcement, recognizing our AAPI community, and remembering those who gave all. Our work continues into summer with renewed purpose.

We support Precinct 4 and our law enforcement partners to address commercial vehicle violations. This initiative is in direct response to citizen complaints.

MYTH: “Elder abuse only happens in nursing homes.”
FACT: Most elder abuse occurs at home, often by family members or caregivers. Abuse can happen anywhere. Stay alert, stay involved, and report concerns to protect vulnerable seniors.

Everyone in our county deserves to feel safe and free to live their best life. We do the best we can to make that happen.

DA Middleton and staff welcomed Clarence the Wonder Dog to the office, 6 years after being shot in the head and left for dead. Clarence's will to live reinforces our resolve to prosecute animal cruelty cases - Clarence's abuser is still banned from owning animals and still paying for Clarence's medical bills. The original animal cruelty investigator from then FBC Pct. 3 Constable's Office (now with our office) and original prosecutor (retired) both came to wish Clarence well!

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Fort Bend Prosecutor Alison Baimbridge to the Texas Violent Gang Task Force today. The task force forms strategic partnerships among local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies to proactively track gang activity and the spread of gangs statewide.

We are blessed to have such talent fighting for Fort Bend citizens, and talent which is recognized by the governor!

Houston man sentenced after being convicted of girlfriend's murder while her kids were home Anthony Sorel Haywood was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty for the murder of his on-and-off girlfriend in 2024.

Today we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice secured our freedom and safety. We remember. We honor. We are grateful. Thank you to the families who carry their legacy forward.
