The Virginia Housing Alliance (VHA) advocates for the expansion of housing opportunities and ending homelessness throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. VHA is the only statewide organization that represents affordable housing and homelessness organizations and the clients they serve. VHA’s positions represent the collective and shared priorities of its members. VHA empowers its members and supporters through advocacy, education, professional development, and capacity building.

This year, 12 AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteers spent their service term embedded inside housing and homeless service organizations across Virginia — strengthening systems, building funding pipelines, and expanding capacity so those agencies can serve more people. The result: $624,016 in cash resources leveraged, 393 staff and volunteers trained, and 252 new resources and programs developed. See the full impact in our 2025/2026 VISTA Impact Report below.
