As early as 1874, there has been a Chinese community in Pittsburgh. The city’s original Chinatown was one of the earliest Chinese settlements recorded in an Eastern U.S. city. Today, all that remains of historic Pittsburgh Chinatown are the two buildings on Third Avenue: The venerable, pagoda-trimmed Chinatown Inn Restaurant and... 協勝公會, The local Hip-Sing Association branch.

After 12 years of perseverance and overcoming rejection, the official recognition of Pittsburgh’s Chinatown as a historic landmark was granted. This could not happen without Marian Lien and OCA Pittsburgh.

We’ve worked on some incredible projects over the past decade, and can finally share this remarkable gift sent to select fans of His Dark Materials HBO.

HBO sent a personally selected porcelain dæmon, hand-crafted by Kate MacDowell, to each recipient inside our laser engraved mahogany boxes. Dæmons are a fictional being in the series where an animal represents an external manifestation of a person's inner-self. Every box has gold accents, a three dimensional lid, and includes a personalized base for the figurine. It was a pleasure working closely with the brilliant team at 360i and on this otherworldly project. Season finale is tonight!

We shredded on these laser engraved guitars for our second colossal project with Kevin Cantrell Design - this time for the Qualtrics X4 Summit. 10,000 people were in attendance and inspired by keynote speakers such as Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Art direction by Jason Johnson. Congrats to all the XM Breakthrough artists and thanks to everyone involved for making this one so fun.

This is the sixth year we've had the pleasure of producing awards for the Elby's. Each hand assembled, laser engraved, wooden icosahedron mimics the inside of a magic eight ball - everyone's favorite childhood predictor. Many congrats to this years winners.
