Congratulations Lieutenant Rowe on successfully graduating from Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training.

The Madison County Detention Center partnered with the LFUCG Division of Community Corrections to provide the 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, taught by instructors trained through the National Institute of Corrections' Crisis Intervention Team.

CIT training teaches correctional professionals how to recognize mental-health and behavioral crises, use effective communication and de-escalation techniques, maintain safety, and connect individuals with appropriate services. The goal is to reduce injuries, prevent unnecessary uses of force, and improve decision-making during crisis situations.

We are proud of Lieutenant Rowe for his commitment to professional development and to making our facility safer for both staff and those in our custody.

Great training today for our deputies!

Comprehensive Correctional Care Manager Ellison provided our staff with Basic Life Support (BLS) training. This important course teaches essential lifesaving skills needed to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. .

Congratulations to our newest group of deputy jailers, who officially took the Oath of Office administered by Madison County Judge-Executive Reagan Taylor.
