This summer, stay protected from the sunlight with sunscreen! 🌞
It is best to make sure that you are wearing SPF with 30 or higher while outside. Too much time in the sun can become harmful for your skin’s barrier and cause irregularities such as sunburn, wrinkles or dark spots. As a reminder, sunscreen should be applied to your face every day!
Cardinal Care offers preventive care services to help you stay healthy in the sun. To learn more about these services, please visit www.dmas.virginia.gov/for-members/benefits-and-services/adult-preventive-services/

June is Men’s Health Month; we encourage you to use this time to remind your loved ones to put their health first. The best way to prevent many serious health conditions is to schedule an appointment with a medical provider. Cardinal Care members have access to preventive services for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
Noticing early symptoms and communicating them with a provider is key. Before going to your appointment, write down any questions, symptoms or health concerns to share with your provider.
