Once again Today’s Throwback Thursday photo is of another boat from the Kentucky River. Built by the Howard Shipyard in 1930 she was renamed the Brooklyn and began working the Kentucky River. She sank just below the park and remained there until 1986 when she was raised with the plan to become a floating restaurant. Unfortunately she sank again and now rests just below Halls Restaurant.

The weather did not cooperate this past weekend for the 30th annual Boonesboro Boogie Car Show but everyone who showed up had a great time, thanks to the hard work of the Southern Knights of Central Kentucky Car Club. Plans are under way already for next year’s show and let’s hope for better weather.
