🕵️🐾 TOP SECRET: Agent Woof Is Looking for His Forever Assignment! 🐾🕵️

This 4-year-old pittie gentleman is ready to close the case on shelter life and investigate a much cozier lifestyle! Found as a stray, Agent Woof is ready for a fresh start with someone who won't leave him behind. 💔

He's polite, friendly, and loves exploring his surroundings. When it comes to other dogs, he prefers a quick sniff and a professional dismissal. 😂 He's not overly clingy, so if you appreciate a companion who can do his own thing while keeping you company, he's your guy! Agent Woof is underweight and could use some extra TLC (but don't worry, we have gotten a jump start on that!), and he'll need a home with kids 10+ due to his intense enthusiasm around food. 🦴❤️

His next mission? Find a human who will give him a full belly, a soft place to land, and the happily-ever-after he deserves. Think you're cleared for adoption? Apply within at 1600 Chamberlayne Avenue tomorrow 12-4pm! 🏡🔎

🚀🐾 Prepare for launch: Battle Scar Galactica has entered the chat! 🐾🚀

This 11-month-old pittie boy is basically a giant, goofy puppy in a dog suit! 😂 He’s still figuring out that he’s not pocket-sized, and personal boundaries are apparently just a suggestion. Battle Scar Galactica will need some basic manners training and should start out as the only dog while he works on his social skills. With continued socialization, he may be able to expand his circle of canine friends! He’s looking for a home with kids 10+ and humans ready to help him channel all that puppy energy into becoming an intergalactic good boy. 🌎💥 Ready to join his mission? Come meet him today before 5pm or 12-4pm tomorrow! 🏡❤️

A little note that we loved from Paint Me Pretty’s (aka Kahlo) foster family…🩵

“Something is happening with Kahlo that we’ve experienced before with other dogs. It catches us off-guard every time..

If you have the privilege of fostering a dog long enough, your job starts to change.

At first, you’re bringing them back from something like survival mode: managing stress, creating structure, setting boundaries, redirecting, reassuring, troubleshooting. You’re watching every interaction, trying to stay one step ahead, and figuring out what this particular dog needs to feel safe enough to start showing you who they are.

It can be exhausting and intense. But then, if you’re lucky, they level out. You start seeing the actual personality instead of the stress response.🩵

That’s about where we are with Kahlo now. And this is the point where we always feel a little protective of the blank space that’s left.

At some point, fostering stops being about teaching them how to live with US and starts being about making sure they’re ready to build a life with someone else. We want to give her the skills she needs to succeed, but we don’t want to shape every preference, every routine, every little piece of who she becomes. That part belongs to her family.

Is she perfect? Nope. But she is ready.

When we foster, our job is to get them here. But honestly, once we do, keeping them much longer starts to feel a little wrong—like we’re holding on to a part of their life that isn’t really ours to fill.

Kahlo fits into our life. But she’s ready to find her way home. ❤️

Ask us about Kahlo, “Paint Me Pretty” by emailing [email protected]!”

We are so happy that Paint Me Pretty is starting to settle and feel content in her foster home. She is Ana absolutely wonderful dog, but her final wish is to find her permanent home for life.
Fostering saves lives!🩵

Old dogs don’t deserve to live at the shelter. ❤️‍🩹 Rupert is a spunky 7 year old Shepherd/Pittie mix. This old fella deserves a companion and a cozy bed to call his own rather than the constant sound of other dogs barking all day.

🍕HOUSEBROKEN
🍕Loves to play fetch
🍕Aloof with other dogs
🍕Combo of chill & spunky
🍕Loves scritches

Happy Wednesday! We have 2 little loves ready to find forever homes today. Can it be with you?!? Meet Thick As A Tick (left pic, 7 years old) and Motion Support (right pic, 10 years old). Both are good with dogs AND cats, look like rat terrier mixes, are spayed females and came to RACC separately as strays. They are not related or bonded—just matched so we posted them together! If you need a little dog in your life who wants to be your sidekick, is housebroken, great on leash and knows their way around the world—adopt one of them TODAY! Email [email protected] with your home info (other pets/kids) to set an adoption appointment today! Go little dog people—GO!
