Thank you and the Richmond Department of Transportation for speaking to a packed house in the VMFA for our First District Meeting! Lane diets, frequent bus service, and protected bike lanes are among the transportation safety priorities we’ve heard from our residents.

With the spring weather rolling in, my new Liaison and I rode through the Museum District and took the Patterson bike lanes to our yesterday!

The Department of Public Utilities has launched Back on Track with DPU, a limited-time reset program to help residents and businesses catch up on past-due utility balances and avoid service disruption. Eligible customers can enroll in a fee-free PromisePay payment plan with repayment terms of up to 24 months (longer than standard plans), depending on balance and eligibility.

As part of the program, DPU has also expanded its MetroCare Assistance Program, offering qualifying low-income households up to $500 in credits for water/wastewater, $500 for natural gas, and additional incentive credits for completing a payment plan. Enrollment is open through March 31, and DPU will host several in-person assistance events across the city to help customers sign up. Learn more and enroll here.
