VAHCDO Legislative advocates showed up in force and with a purpose in Washington, DC to meet with our Senators and Representatives and advocate for our legislative and budgeting priorities. We would like to thank Senator Mark Warner’s office for meeting with our group to discuss the importance of keeping funding levels where they are and that more is needed. We would also like to thank all of the House members that met with us as well! At a time when more investment in affordable and workforce housing is needed to address housing shortages, now is not the time to pull back. VAHCDO will continue to advocate for programs and funding that help to house Virginia’s workforce and also the most vulnerable among us.

The 2025 VAHCDO Scholarship Luncheon proved once again that we are in safe hands with the next generation. These deserving young adults dedication to their education, support system, and family are an inspiration to us all.
