They greet students with a smile, lend a helping hand, build meaningful relationships and bring warmth, kindness and care to their school communities every day. Right For You!

Applications for Selective Admissions Schools and Open Enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year open on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Selective Admission Schools — Richmond City residents, including students who do not currently attend RPS, may apply to RPS Selective Admission Schools and Regional Governor’s Schools. The deadline to apply is December 1, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Eligibility and application requirements vary by school and program.

Open Enrollment — Richmond City residents, including students who do not currently attend RPS, may apply to eligible RPS K-12 schools outside their residential zone. Transportation is not provided for students attending a school in a different zone through Open Enrollment. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2027, at 4:30 p.m.

🏫 We’ve loved seeing our RPS community come together to imagine what’s possible for the future of our schools.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us at our Facilities Modernization Plan community meetings so far! Your ideas, experiences, questions, and hopes matter, and they are an important part of shaping what comes next for RPS.

There are still opportunities to join the conversation! Share this post, come out to one of our remaining community meetings, bring at least three friends, and help us imagine the schools our students deserve.

We celebrate the students, families, educators, and staff who share their stories, traditions, and experiences with us.

Hispanic heritage is woven into the fabric of our community, and this month gives us an opportunity to listen, learn, and celebrate the many voices and cultures that enrich the RPS community.

PM Update

Good evening, Bellevue Families,I am writing to share a positive progress report on facility updates and outline our timeline for re-entering Bellevue Elementary.Facility Updates:

All four rooms sanitized on Sunday passed air-quality inspections, with particle counts below outdoor levels. These spaces are fully cleared for students and staff.
Test results are attached below.

Cleaning is now finished in every classroom throughout the building.
Technicians gathered air samples earlier today ...
