Velasquez Elementary PTO

For the past 6 years, these 2 former Velasquez students have faithfully changed our school marquee every single Sunday. Rain, heat, cold, holidays, busy weekends… they’ve shown up and gotten it done.

Do they mess up sometimes? Absolutely 😂
Letters fall, a wrong date, and every now and then we catch a typo after it’s already up. But they always try hard and take pride in doing it for our school.

Now they are passing on the torch (or letters) to their little brothers.

Today we celebrated our graduating 5th graders with a gaming truck, pizza party, candy bar, and cupcake cart.

We would like to give a huge thank you to Frito Lay and Dominos Pizza in Sugar Land for their generous donations to help celebrate these amazing students.

Getting ready for water day friends! See you tomorrow!! Don’t forget wear swim suit to school (school appropriate) sunscreen, towel, change of clothes, cash and a smile 😊.

Did you know alligators have U-shaped snouts and crocodiles have V-shaped snouts? This was just one of many facts our 3rd graders learned at Crocodile Encounters today.

1st grade got to go to the Butterfly museum today! So many happy faces!

4th grade had a blast at George Ranch! So cool to hear the history of where we live!

School is about to wind down, but first:
