🍁👑 MOVE OVER, ROYALTY! WE'VE GOT SOME FALL CROWNS TO MAKE!

Parents, before you rake up all those beautiful fall leaves, let your preschooler grab a few! 🍂

We've got a fun, FREE weekend activity that turns a simple backyard adventure into a little learning magic!

👑 Let's Make a Fall Leaf Crown!

🍁 Step 1: Take a nature walk and explore the beautiful fall colors.

🍂 Step 2: Collect a handful of colorful fallen leaves.

👑 Step 3: Help your child attach the leaves to a paper crown using glue or tape. Then let your little king or queen show off their masterpiece!

Here's the learning bonus: Picking up leaves, arranging them, and creating a crown help strengthen fine motor skills, creativity, and early writing readiness.

And the best part? Your child thinks they're just having fun! 💛

🎃🧪 MAKE A PUMPKIN ERUPT THIS WEEKEND!

Parents, want to hear your child say, "WOW! Can we do that AGAIN?" 😂

We've got a fun 10-minute science experiment that'll turn your kitchen into a mini science lab!

At Foundations Learning Academy, we love STEAM education because children learn so much when they get to explore, experiment, and ask questions.

🔬 LET'S MAKE A PUMPKIN VOLCANO!

What You'll Need:
🎃 1 small pumpkin (top removed and inside scooped out)
🥄 2–3 tablespoons of baking soda
🧴 ½ cup of white vinegar
🧼 A sq**rt of dish soap
🧡 A few drops of food coloring (optional)
🍽️ A large tray to catch the eruption

4 EASY STEPS:

1️⃣ PREP YOUR PUMPKIN: Have an adult cut off the top and scoop out the inside. Place the pumpkin on a large tray.

2️⃣ ADD THE MAGIC: Let your child add the baking soda, dish soap, and food coloring.

3️⃣ MAKE IT ERUPT: Slowly pour in the vinegar and watch the colorful bubbles overflow! 🌋

4️⃣ BECOME A SCIENTIST: Ask your child, "What do you think made those bubbles?" Try adding a little more vinegar and see what happens!

🌟 THE STEAM CONNECTION:
🔬 Science: Discover how baking soda and vinegar react to create carbon dioxide bubbles.

💻 Technology: Record the eruption and watch it together.

🏗️ Engineering: Experiment with ways to contain the overflowing foam.

🎨 Art: Explore colors and create different pumpkin volcano designs.

🔢 Math: Measure ingredients and compare the results.

Mom and Dad! It's Fire Prevention Week, so let's prepare our kids!
Kids learn best through play, and that includes safety!

Try these this week:
🔥 Draw a "Treasure Map" Escape Plan. Have your child help draw your home and mark two ways out of every room.
🔥 Pick a Meeting Spot. Choose a tree, a mailbox, or a neighbor's porch, and give it a fun name like "Safe Spot Central."
🔥 Practice "Stop, Drop & Roll" as a Dance Party. Put on music, call out "STOP!" and see who drops and rolls fastest.
🔥 Test the Smoke Alarm Together. Let kids hear the sound so it's not scary in a real emergency.

💡 Young children often hide during emergencies because they're scared. Practicing calmly and playfully builds confidence, not fear.
