Stop by the Friends of the Ridgecrest Branch Library store Books & More located at 1513 N Norma St, Ridgecrest, CA 93555! They are open Wed-Sat from 10 am to 2 pm.

They have a great variety of books, games, puzzles, and more for great prices with proceeds benefitting us through program supplies and more 🙂

Congratulations to the winners of the 4 unlimited ride wristbands for the fair, generously donated by the Desert Empire Fairgrounds & Events Center! Winners have been emailed.

Thanks to everyone who participated! Fair entry tickets can still be picked up through 4 pm on Saturday 10/24 for those already logged on Beanstack. If 5 books (age 6-8) or 5 hours (age 9-18) are not already logged on Beanstack, bring your list in and branch staff can get it logged for you.

Teens and adults are invited to join River Sage Revival for Expressive Art every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 pm to explore emotions through a variety of art/creative exercises. October will focus on drawing but other types of art and projects will be featured in the future. Starting in November, this will be open to ages 3 and up.

Our friends at the KCL - Rosamond Branch Library will welcome the San Diego Natural History Museum for a special Mammoth Day on Saturday 10/24, featuring a REAL piece of mammoth bone discovered in the Antelope Valley!

The fossil will be unveiled at 1 pm, but they will have some fun things before AND after that, so if you're in the area on Saturday (or during the next 6 months), stop by.
