How do you know what information you can trust? 🤔💭

That's just one of the big questions R***e High School students explored during the school's first-ever Rhetoric & Reasoning Summit!

Organized by RHS English teacher Lily Binford, the event brought professionals from journalism, law, education, public service, and local government together with freshmen and sophomores to discuss critical thinking, misinformation, artificial intelligence, and responsible communication.

Students had the opportunity to hear how these skills are used in real-world careers, ask questions, and explore different perspectives!

A huge thank-you to Ms. Binford and all the community members who took the time to share their knowledge and experiences with our Bears! 🐻💛

¿Cómo saber en qué información podemos confiar? 🤔💭

Engineering the Future at R***e High School! ⚙️🐻

Big ideas are taking shape at R***e High School!

Representatives from the Nathan Yip Foundation recently visited RHS to see the district's growing Engineering Pathway in action.

They spent time talking with students as they worked together to design and construct structures capable of holding a water bottle as far from the table as possible.

The hands-on challenge put students' creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to the test!

The Nathan Yip Foundation awarded Garfield Re-2 a $75,000 grant over three years to help expand the Engineering Pathway through teacher training, specialized equipment, technology upgrades, and stronger connections between middle and high school STEM education.

A huge thank you to the Nathan Yip Foundation for investing in our students and helping create more opportunities for future engineers! 💛

Small acts. BIG impact! 🦁💛

Graham Mesa Elementary School put a twist on fundraising this year with Raise Craze, where students spread kindness and give back to their community while raising money for their school!

From cleaning up their community and collecting canned goods to visiting nursing home residents and making thank-you cards for first responders, our Mountain Lions found all kinds of ways to make someone's day a little brighter. ❤️

And the results? 541 acts of kindness! 🎉

Because sometimes, making a difference is as simple as being kind.

Way to go, Mountain Lions! 💙💛

¡Pequeñas acciones, GRANDES resultados! 🦁💛

An evening of music, memories, and a special tribute 💙

Coal Ridge High School's Fall Vocal Showcase featured an arrangement of beautiful music as choir students performed their All-State audition pieces and other selections for family and friends.

One of the evening's most meaningful moments came when Varsity Choir members and alumni joined together to perform Danny Boy in memory of Reese Allen, a 2026 Coal Ridge graduate and Varsity Choir alumna.

We are grateful for the music Reese brought into our lives and to the choir students and alumni who came together to honor her with such a beautiful tribute.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this tribute possible. 💙
