Subject: Power Outage and Restoration

Update

Ripley Power and Light crews are actively working to restore power across the service area following recent service disruptions.

We fully recognize that losing power—especially given current weather temperatures—is a major inconvenience and a concern for your household's comfort and safety.

The power and light team is treating this situation as a priority, and technicians are working as quickly and safely as possible to make the necessary repairs and bring electricity back to all affected customers.

A huge thank you to the Lauderdale County Library for inviting the Ripley Police Department to be a part of the 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story.” It was an incredible privilege to connect with and read to the future leaders of our city and county.
We would like to give a special shout-out to Sgt. Brian Myles for doing a fantastic job as our featured reader, as well as Ptlm. Chris Micheal, Ptlm. Jack Walden and Ptlm Duston Garrett for showing up to support the kids and represent RPD. We are deeply grateful for the library’s dedication to fostering a love for reading in our community, and we look forward to partnering together again in the future!
