At our last City Council meeting, we had the opportunity to introduce and swear in Reserve Officer Graham!
Officer Graham brings 13 years of experience as a Reserve Officer, having served with Spokane Police and, most recently, Reardan Police. Before that, he served as a CO-OP Volunteer with Spokane Police.
His experience and qualifications include Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) training and certification as a Portable Breath Test Technician. He also holds an associate degree in Architectural Drafting and is an OSHA-approved Master Rigger. We're excited to have him join our team as he begins field training and prepares to serve the Ritzville community!

Reserve Officers serve on a part-time basis, but while on duty, they have full police authority. Becoming a Reserve Officer requires completing an academy currently exceeding 356 hours of training in subjects such as criminal law, crisis intervention, defensive tactics, patrol procedures, criminal investigations, evidence handling, fi****ms, emergency vehicle operations, use of force, ethics, civil liability, first aid, and much more.
And the training doesn't stop there! Reserve Officers are also required to maintain the same continuing in-service education requirements as full-time officers.
We're grateful for the experience, dedication, and commitment Reserve Officers bring to law enforcement. Please join us in welcoming Officer Graham to Ritzville! 🎉
Welcome to the team, Officer Graham! 💙🖤
