We appreciate the Special Olympics and all they do! 💙

This past weekend, we were honored to be involved in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Truck Convoy benefiting the Special Olympics of Illinois.

It was an incredible opportunity to come together with fellow trucking companies, law enforcement, and our community in support of such a meaningful cause.

Tri-State Disposal is proud to team up with an organization that helps make a difference in the lives of Special Olympics athletes across Illinois.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible! 🚛💙

🔥 This week is Fire Prevention Week, and October is Fire Prevention Month.

When it comes to waste disposal, fire prevention starts with what goes into the trash.

Items like lithium-ion batteries, propane tanks, fuel containers, fireworks, hot ashes, pool chemicals, household cleaners, pesticides, aerosol cans, paints, solvents, and other hazardous materials can create serious fire hazards in garbage trucks and at waste facilities.

This also includes e-cigarettes and vapes, which contain lithium-ion batteries that can ignite when crushed inside collection trucks.

Never place these hazardous items in your garbage cans or dumpsters. Instead, use an approved recycling or hazardous waste disposal program.

A few simple precautions can help protect our crews, equipment, and community.

Thank you for doing your part to dispose of hazardous materials safely and responsibly!
