During CPR/AED Awareness Week, we encourage everyone to learn the lifesaving skills that can make a difference in an emergency. Immediate CPR and early AED use can significantly increase a person’s chance of survival before first responders arrive.

Remember these three simple steps:

🫀 Push hard and fast in the center of the chest
⚡ Use an AED and follow the prompts

You don’t have to be a firefighter or paramedic to save a life. The actions you take in those first critical moments could help a family keep their loved one.

CCFES crews were hard at work during a ventilation training session, sharpening the skills they rely on when our community needs them most. Emergencies don't wait for perfect weather, and neither do we.

That’s a wrap on the first week for Recruit Class 26-01! 💪

From early mornings to hands-on training, these recruits are already learning what it takes to become a Clayton County firefighter. The journey has just begun, but their dedication, discipline, and teamwork are already on display.

Our Training Division is committed to preparing the next generation of firefighters to serve the community with pride, professionalism, and excellence. 🚨

As we continue to experience the potential for severe weather, multiple alert methods are vital to our preparedness plan, including registering for the CodeRED alert system.

When disaster strikes, cell towers get overwhelmed. If everyone tries to call at once, the system crashes.

Texting -vs- Calling. Here's why:

By sending a text instead of making a call:

1️⃣ You leave the "voice lines" open for emergency responders.

2️⃣ Your message is more likely to get through on a weak signal.

3️⃣ You save precious battery life.
