CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATES Following the CDC’s recent COVID-19 recommendations for older adults, Council on Aging - Southern California is suspending all upcoming in-person appointments, walk-in clinics, classes and events as of March 13, 2020.

Hello Everyone. Our office is currently closed for site and in-person counseling regarding the circumstances surrounding COVID-19. However, we are still assisting clients by phone. If you need assistance regarding Medicare options, please call us at (909) 256-8369. We are still open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A counselor will get back and assist you. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy during this time. :)

Great information on Medicare appeals, California Health Advocates ! :)
A standard appeal is an appeal of a denial for a health care service, item, or prescription drug that is covered by Medicare Part A or B. If you have questions about filing appeals, contact your local Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) at 1-800-434-0222.

Hello everyone. Please give a warm welcome to our newest staff member, Tom!! Prior to being employed with Council on Aging, he was a volunteer for the HICAP program and assisted with providing Medicare counseling to clients. He will now be working in the Volunteer Department recruiting for volunteers. :)
