California’s water system has to handle both floods and drought. 🌧️☀️

The proposed Sites Reservoir would store excess water from wet years and make it available for communities, agriculture and the environment when dry conditions return.

Forward-thinking projects like this align with Western Municipal Water District’s work to strengthen water reliability and ensure our region is ready for future droughts. Learn more: sitesproject.org.

Western Municipal Water District was proud to celebrate the completion of the Landscape Transformation Project at the March Field Air Museum last week! 💧🌿

In partnership with the museum and project partners, more than 20,000 square feet of non-functional turf was replaced with climate-appropriate landscaping designed to save water and support long-term sustainability in Southern California. The project is expected to save an estimated 94,000 gallons of water annually while serving as a public example of efficient, water-wise landscaping in action.
