It does not look like this year there will be a national Chalk the Walks event due to Covid-19. But we will be putting out chalk and hand sanitizer for those that would like to participate in Orangecrest Litttle Free Library's event.
Leave positive messages for our community!
*WHAT: Chalk the Walks (sidewalk, walkway and driveway are okay)
WHEN: Saturday, August 22nd, all day!

I hope everybody had a great first day of school! I know it must be quite a challenge but we will all get through this together as the strong community that we are!
Orangecrest Little Free Library is committed to providing our community with good reads and occasional perks. To start off we are running a Haiku contest! What is a Haiku? Well, look it up and then see if you can come up with the best back to school or reading Haiku. Pencils and post-it notes are in the library box. Leave your Haiku inside to inspire and share with others. A winner will be chosen on September 1st by an independent person. The winner will receive a $15 gift card so you can get your own special book.
*also, we are in need of more kids reading books. Any gently used books would be kindly appreciated. Just drop them off by the library and I will disinfect before putting them on the shelfs*
Thanks from you library stewart, marta.
*UPDATE*. Thanks so much for the book donations! We are well stocked now!

We tried having a free pantry for our community but no one is really using it so we have gone back to just books. There are some wonderful reads for adults and children. Please wear your mask when coming to the library. Everyone keep safe.
