The Second District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is made up of high school students from within the Second Supervisorial District.
The Youth Council is a service oriented organization where council members spend time in the community volunteering at community events based around their interests. The Second District YAC plays a role within the Second District by providing recommendations to Supervisor Tavaglione and staff on youth related issues. Our youth advisory council in collaboration with Eastvale Library is hosting, Literacy Launch! Join us for a fun afternoon filled with skits, games, and crafts. This event will be held at 7747 Scholar way, Eastvale from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM. Hope to see you all there!

This past weekend, DCSS hosted its inaugural Fathers and Families Day in District 2! The event brought together dads and father figures for an action-packed day. Our youth advisory council was involved in coaching basketball and football games, and helping with family check-ins. Students saw firsthand the strong bonds between families and the impact DCSS has on the community. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

Ringing in the New Year with a clean slate! Our hygiene drive for the homeless was a massive hit, gathering vital supplies at Norco, Roosevelt, and Rubidoux High School. Big thanks to for their incredible generosity and to the school clubs who partnered with us!

🌳District 2 speaks for the trees. 🌳 Today we joined for their Mondale Street Clean up and Tree Planting Day! Our council members helped plant new trees along the side walk investing in a greener and cleaner neighborhood.

Sunday was a day to remember! Our team participated in the Relay For Life Event in Corona with Riverside County Cancer Crushers. From walking the track to the closing ceremony, we made a difference and were recognized for keeping someone on the track the whole time. Plus, we got to enjoy breakfast courtesy of the event organizers!
