I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our exceptional resource parents, Mr. and Mrs. Castillo, who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment not only in expressing their desire to become foster parents but also in taking the commendable step of adopting children. Initially, they welcomed their first placement, whom we fondly referred to as Baby Girl. At the time, this child was placed in their care without a full name, but upon her adoption, she was lovingly given a name by Mr. and Mrs. Castillo. Their second placement was a young boy who came into their home on November 15, 2023, With heartfelt consideration, they ultimately decided to adopt him, adoption finalized on April 6, 2026. We are incredibly proud of Mr. and Mrs. Castillo, not only because these children now thrive in a nurturing and loving home, but also because the dedication of these parents to care for and offer a new, enriched life to these kids is truly phenomenal. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the social workers involved who contributed to making this wonderful journey possible💕

“This February, our friends at have partnered with to go the extra step for our Black foster youth. With their support, they are helping to provide essentials like natural hair care, books, and toys that reflect their culture and identity. Thanks to customers who rounded up their purchase in Famous Footwear stores, more kids in foster care will have the essentials they need to feel seen, supported & celebrated.
